What is a Care Plan?

 A fantastic new offer available to customers of Gas and Air Solutions Ltd is to enrol in one of our care plans. A great way of budgeting for the annual boiler service but also for any unexpected issues that can come up with your heating and hot water system.


We have different packages available to suit all households and landlords. All care plans include a boiler health check (inspection), remote support and an annual service.

Benefits of a Care Plan

Boilers can be expensive to repair

Repairs can be very expensive and a lot of the time it is an unplanned household expense that can be avoided or minimised by having your boiler regularly serviced.

As all our plans include an annual boiler service, this will help to ensure that your boiler remains operational throughout the year and also safe for those people in your home or business.

Provides peace of mind

When you are paying your monthly care plan amount, you are “buying” yourself the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are covered in the event of a future problem.

Customer savings

In the event that you don't have a care plan and need to call out an emergency engineer, call out rates can be expensive and rarely a planned expense.

  • General exclusions for all care plans
    • Boilers with an age of over 12 years and or beyond economical repair
    • Removing sludge or hard water scale from the boiler or heating system 
    • Damage caused by you or other persons
    • Cosmetic damage that affects the appearance but not the function 
    • Consequential loss & normal insured risks
    • The cost of repairs caused by freezing, subsidence, structural repairs, explosion, fire, lightning, accident, flood or storm
    • The cost of damage caused by any utility companies (gas, electricity & water)
    • Improvement works needed to bring the boiler or system to current standards

What Each Cover Option Includes

Appliance Cover

Annual service 

  • Exclusions Apply

    In addition to general exclusions and terms and conditions, the appliance cover does not include:

    - Repairs to the appliance 

    - Re-setting of controls, including clock, thermostats and wireless devices

    - Any central heating and plumbing works

    - Repairing or replacing open flues or flues over one meter in length

    - Artificial coals on gas fires

    - Flueless fires


Controls Cover

Repairs to controls

Assistance with setting up or adjusting boiler controls

  • Exclusions Apply

    In addition to general exclusions/terms and conditions, the controls cover does not include:

    - Accidental damage

    - Any controls designed specifically for underfloor heating

    - Any controls that directly supply a swimming pool

    - Resetting your controls or replacing batteries

    - Any central heating works 

    - Replacement of your controls if we can’t repair them

  • Exclusions Apply

    In addition to general exclusions/terms and conditions, the boiler cover does not include:

    -     Accidental damage

    - Fixing your showers, their parts and shower pumps

    - Repairing or replacing open flues or flues over one meter in length

    - Replacing or topping up your system inhibitor unless we removed it

    - Any part of your boiler that directly supply a swimming pool

    - Repairing or replacing heat pumps

    - Repairs to steel gas pipes, or any gas/oil supply pipes that are not visible or accessible

    - Any central heating works 

    - Replacement of your boiler if we can’t repair it


Central Heating Cover

All repairs to the heat and hot water system including:

o   expansion tank, radiators, bypass and radiator valves (including Hive Radiator Valves);

o   cylinders and immersion heaters, including wired-in timer switches;

o   pipes that connect the central heating system

Standard Time clocks, Programmers, Room thermostats 

Repairs to gas pipework after the meter up to the boiler

  • Exclusions Apply

    In addition to general exclusions/terms and condtions, the central heating coverInternet-based controls i.e. Wave, Nest etc

    - Internet-based controls i.e. Wave, Nest etc

    - Repairing or replacing parts of your central heating system and controls that are specifically designed for piped underfloor heating

    - The cost of repairs needed due to design faults unless it is a Gas and Air Solutions error or mistake

    - Replacing or repairing decorative or other parts which do not affect how the system works

    - Re-setting of controls, including clock, thermostats and wireless devices (unless done at the time of annual service)

    - Removing asbestos associated with repairing the appliance or system 

    - Repairing any damage or redecoration due to system alteration 

    - Repairing or replacing any lead or steel pipes

    - Replacement of hot water cylinder and radiators 

    - Any plumbing works


How it works

  • 1. Boiler health check for care plan

    Our gas engineers will come to your property and survey your boiler and heating system.

  • 2. Additional works required

    We may advise  you that chargeable work is required on your boiler or heating system before the care plan can commence.

  • 3. BACS or GoCardless

    We will send you an invoice for BACS payment of the annual charge or a link to setup a direct debit instruction with GoCardless for monthly payments. Once setup your care plan will be active.

  • 4. Annual boiler service

    Our office will make contact with you to arrange a convenient time to get your boiler serviced.

  • 5. Agreement review

    Your agreement is reviewed annually, to ensure it meets our minimum requirements. We will write to you with any changes.

Care Plan Terms and Conditions

All payments taken via BACS or direct debit using Gocardless.
Monthly payments cover 1 service a year.

All plans include unlimited call outs and parts up to £500+vat.

Fixed fee of £90 per repair.
Price does not include replacement of appliances (boiler, radiators, taps etc).
Appointments can be made up to 1 month before boiler renewal date.
Minimum 12 month contract.

Cancellation charges apply during contract.
